1. Preparation: Gather your shaving brush, shaving bowl or mug, razor, and a post-shave balm or lotion.
2. Warm Up: Wash your face with warm water to soften your beard hairs. You can also use a warm pre-shave oil for extra lubrication.
3. Lather Up: Wet your shaving brush with warm water and swirl it on the soap to create a rich lather in your bowl or mug.
4. Apply Lather: Apply the lather to your shaving area using a circular motion, ensuring good coverage.
5. Shave: Glide your razor with the grain of your beard hair for the first pass. You may need to re-lather for subsequent passes against the grain or for a very close shave.
6. Rinse and Moisturize: Rinse your face with cool water and pat it dry. Apply a post-shave balm or lotion to soothe and moisturize your skin.
